Polycarbonate, referred to as PC, is a colorless and transparent amorphous thermoplastic material. The flame retardant principle of PC flame retardant is to catalyze the generation of carbon when PC is burned, so as to achieve the purpose of flame retardant.
Physical properties: PC flame retardant is colorless and transparent, heat-resistant, impact-resistant, flame-retardant, has good mechanical properties at ordinary working temperature, but is not UV-resistant, polycarbonate has good impact resistance, high refractive index , good processing performance.
Chemical properties:
1. PC is resistant to acid, oil, polycarbonate, and strong alkali;
2. It has excellent mechanical properties, high transparency and good flame retardancy;
3. High thermal deformation temperature, high dielectric strength, good electrical insulation and wear resistance;
PC flame retardant masterbatch uses PC resin (new material) as the carrier to dilute the flame retardant. Easy to disperse and process, no dust scattering phenomenon, improve flame retardant effect.
There is no need to consider the embarrassment that the flame retardant (sulfonate) is not uniformly dispersed when the flame retardant (sulfonate) is used directly, and the flame retardant effect cannot be achieved. At the same time, it is convenient for workers to operate, avoids material waste, and has excellent fire performance.
The degree of dispersion of the flame retardant in the resin largely determines the use effect. After the masterbatch is made, it has almost no effect on the performance of the product, the dispersion effect is better, and there is no dust. When recommended for PC flame retardant products, it can achieve a good UL94 flame retardant grade, while maintaining the original light transmittance of PC.
Specific applications include PC film flame retardant, automobiles, electronic appliances, mobile phone charger shells, computer shells, LED lighting brackets, switch panels and other PC flame retardant products.
